Linda has over 35 years of training experience and continued education in the science of dog behavior and animal training. She is passionate about this science, having started her studies when she was still in high school. She has attended classes through the Life Learn Program at the Ontario Veterinary Collage, University at Guelph, Ontario, Canada, under the direction of well noted veterinary behaviorist, Andrew Luescher, as well as Dr Jack Halap and Dr. Don Mckeown.

She has studied with many top dog and animal trainers, animal behaviorists and veterinarians in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom and from around the world, including:

Karen Pryor

Kathy Sdao

Ken Ramirez

Dr Ian Dunbar

Terry Ryan

Gary Priest

Ted Turner

…to name just a few.

Today Linda continues to attend classes, clinics, webinars and workshops to ensure she stays attentive to the most current knowledge in the science of dog behavior and teaching. Recently Linda completed an advanced animal trainers course at the world-renowned Shedd Aquarium in Chicago with fellow students from the U.S. and around the world. In her quest to always learn more, Linda is currently enrolled in a year-long continued education course online.

Linda’s main interest as a dog trainer concerns temperament, relationship and behavior issues in all manner of dogs. She thrives to find positive solutions that build trust and ability between dog and owner. Her analytical mind and ability to focus on great detail are strong assets when evaluating canine temperament and behavior issues and in setting forth a comprehensive and well-structured dog training program.

In addition to having her writing and training articles published in numerous trade magazines, Linda has appeared on radio and television programs dealing with dog behavior and training issues. She lectures to both owners and other pet professionals including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, rescue groups and breeders.

Linda has just been accepted into an ongoing study program focusing on the science and application in training of canine scent discrimination. As this has been a strong interest of Linda’s since the onset of her career she is thrilled to have such an opportunity for study.

Linda has had successful and thriving practices in both New York and the greater Minneapolis/Saint Paul region of Minnesota before moving to Lincoln, NE.

When Linda is not working to assist her clients and their dog companions, she takes pleasure in spending time outdoors — hiking, biking, kayaking, and practicing archery. She also enjoys being creative through writing, music and artistic ventures.  Linda shares her home with her Black and Tan Coonhound, Jolie (aka “The Corndog”) and Darwin, her ever-growing African Sulcata Tortoise, that also is trained to offer behaviors on cue.
