Pet Bereavment Support - Los Angeles, CA - Monterey, CA - Nationwide
The loss of a companion animal is intense and can often feel unbearable. It leaves an emptiness in your life that washes over you in waves of sadness, guilt, and loss. Guilt is a huge issue if you had to make the decision to put your pet down, or if the gate door was left open, or if you felt you should have seen that your pet was ill or acting differently. And there is anger with yourself for having to play god with another being's life. And anger with others for not understanding the pain associated with the loss of your loved one.
So what can you do with the pain of loss? Talk about it. Share your feelings. Cry. Talk about the great times you had together with someone who understands. Remember the happiness you had with your best friend. Grieve with someone who understands and cares about what you're going through.
