How did you hone your craft?
I left standard veterinary medicine to specialize in chiropractic and acupuncture care in 2006. I have trained with Carl DeStefano to develop a much greater subtly and specificity to my chiropractic care. I have trained with Are Thoresen of Norway in the use of acupuncture to harmonize the whole body and to treat cancer. My Chinese herbal training was with Dr. Steve Marsden from Canada.
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
It is amazing to me how much of a difference it makes to understand where your animals are coming from, and to actually talk to them heart to heart
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
I have such a great love and respect for animals and for all they teach us, and continue to teach us. I come from an intensely scientific background (I finished my Immunology PhD at the University of Pennsylvania while getting my veterinary degree), and yet I have been so impressed by the arts of medicine as represented by acupuncture, chiropractic, herbal and energy medicine, used in an integrated way with the teachings of science.
