Ana Deshpande Pet Photographer - Bakersfield, CA
I have been photographing dogs and cats for the last seven years. With a background in Interior Design and a lot of experience photographing dogs and cats at several shelters and rescues, I am able to create beautiful artwork that captures the true nature of your pet, no matter if they are energetic or camera shy. Every dog has a different personality and I have worked with them all. Is your dog "too" active? We will photograph your playful pup outside, entertaining us with his/her favorite toy or running wild in the waves at the beach. Is your senior dog not able to travel? I will photograph him/her in the comfort of its own home.
I always take the time to allow the dogs to get comfortable around me before I start my session. So many clients have told me their dog has never been so comfortable so quickly around a stranger as they have been with me.
Growing up, we had many different kinds of animals in our home, including a deer, chickens, an owl, pet rats, a buffalo, cats, dogs and, occasionally, an abandoned baby bird or baby squirrel that we helped rehabilitate. This life long proximity to animals has taught me to be patient and respectful and to allow myself to be accepted before I can expect anything in return from the animals I work with. Please contact me through Petworks. Have a great day!

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Every pet is special and has different personalities. Don't feel frustrated if your pet isn't "behaving perfectly" during the shoot. Their portraits will reflect their true personalities, the very reason why we love them so much.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
