Pet Psychic and Animal Reiki Practitioner - Nationwide
I am an animal communicator and Reiki Master living and working in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I work with clients and their animal companions throughout El Paso County, as well as remotely with others both nationally and internationally.
Using a combination of sympathetic communication and energy work, I help people make conscious, confident decisions for their animal companions during times of transition, illness, and end-of-life.
I also use animal communication to help people connect more deeply to their pets and to celebrate that bond throughout—and after—life.
I am not a veterinarian, nor do I have a background in animal medicine. Therefore I strongly recommend that you seek the advice of a licensed veterinarian in conjunction with any animal communication sessions and before administering any foods, herbs, supplements, essential oils, or essences that I may suggest.
That said, I have found that animal communication and traditional veterinary medicine can work hand-in-hand. In most situations, communication and energy work enriches the relationships between animal, person, and health care provider(s). It particularly supports animals who have been diagnosed with illnesses from which they can still recover, but require extensive care to do so. It can also help increase the effectiveness of prescribed medications and therapies, mitigate the effects of anesthesia, and shorten healing time. Just as importantly, animal communication can help YOU feel calmer in the face of any illness and confident in the medical decisions you make for your animal companion.
Animal communication can also help to:
• provide clarity in difficult situations, such as if and when euthanasia is best for an ailing animal.
• support both you and your companion when dealing with health problems and aging issues
• find solutions to behavior problems
• make transitions easier (e.g., new house, new baby, new animal companion, etc.)
• identify needs of other companion animals in the house
• get insight from your animal companion into your own life, work, and relationships
• bring FUN into your life

How did you hone your craft?
I have been practicing animal communication and energy work professionally since October 2004. I developed these skills in 2003 while living on a farm animal sanctuary in northern Colorado. Through my studies of heart-centered meditation, Reiki, and Perelandra's Medical Assistance Program, I developed tools to help support the sanctuary animals during times of stress, illness, or transition. I began to receive specific physical sensations and intuitive hits about their needs and emotions and one day, I began to literally hear what the animals were saying. From that point on, the rescued animals offered themselves as willing teachers, helping me to trust what I heard and felt.
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Animals communicate primarily in images and feelings, and are very connected to these signals in their human companions. So if there's something you want your animal companion to do, or a behavior you want to change, the most effective way is to visualize the action you want, and literally feel, in your body, the emotions that that action elicits. The most common example of this is litterbox-training a cat. Once you've identified and addressed any root causes of elimination outside the box (illness, food sensitivities, aggression from other cats in the household, etc.), add visualizing to your repertoire. Instead of thinking about the times your cat has eliminated out of the box, visualize him/her going into the box, peeing, covering it, and then hopping out, and going about his/her day. The more details, the better. And FEEL how happy/relaxed/relieved this visualization makes you. Your cat will get this image and feeling. It may take some time and practice, but it can help enhance your cat's behavior, as well as the communication between you.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
The ability to communicate with animals is a gift I have cultivated with the understanding that I am to use it to help animals by strengthening the connection people have with them. Our relationships with our animals are always very complex and some people tell me that they're afraid of what their companions have to say about them. I say don't worry! The mere fact that you're interested in hearing what your companion has to say means that there's already a positive bond between you. Anything (s)he says will only serve to make your relationship stronger. Animals may be stressed or angry depending upon what is happening in their household, but with your help and openness, animal communication will address these issues and find ways for both of you to be happier together. I am always considerate of an animal's boundaries. All communication and energy work is conducted with absolute respect for the animal's highest good.
