Art by Denise Snyder - Moweaqua, IL
I work in soft pastel, graphite, charcoal, and watercolor. I use your photos as a reference for the portrait. I like to hear about the personality of your pet. It helps me know the animal and produce a better picture. I will send progress shots to you, just to make sure that I am doing the picture according to your specifications. I have been drawing almost all of my life and animals have been my subject. I do not do ultra-realistic work, as I do not employ any devices such as projectors, tracing tables, or griding. My work is done freehand. Prices vary depending on the type of picture that you are wanting. I ask for a $50 nonrefundable deposit, to be put toward the purchase price of the picture. I accept credit cards through PayPal.

Animals are my passion. I have several of my own. Horses, dogs, cats, and chickens, all live with my husband and I on our farm in Central Illinois.
