Our fur companion's soul often shines through in their eyes. When I paint my subjects, I seek keys to their personality by studying not just their fur's coloring, patterns and texture, but the tilt of their head, and most especially, by the glimmer of affection, intelligence, peace, playfulness - and whatever else defines them - through their eyes. They speak to me as they come to life on paper and guide me along as we work together to recreate the beauty and character they share with you, their fur parent!

As an artist of our beloved fur family, I recommend always photographing your pet in natural lighting to get the truest detail of their eyes and their coat's texture and color

When I paint your pet, I connect with their image. Most of what I create comes from photos pet parents send me. I spend a good deal of time getting to "know" their pet by studying their eyes and their posture. That's what I love best about painting our pets - feeling that I've successfully connected with them when I've finished.
