We are a nonprofit organization providing tutoring to individuals who have opened their homes and hearts by adopting or fostering rescued dogs from shelters or nonprofit rescue groups. We work exclusively* with rescued dogs and their people. Our tips and techniques assist people and their rescued dogs to achieve that happy, peaceful co-existence as they journey together in life. All our sessions are customized for the unique needs of your dog. Depending on your goals only 1-3 visits may be needed to teach you how to teach and reach your dog. We work one-on-one with you and your dog in our peaceful Zen-like environment specially designed for learning and coaching to calm (on both sides of the leash)! We are not obedience trainers but rather Tellington Touch Practitioners specially trained to reduce stress and increase confidence to address issues of reactivity. You can read more about this technique at our website www.doingrightbyrescues.org
*Should you have a non-rescued dog but your dog is at risk for surrendering or rehoming we still welcome to opportunity to help.

How did you hone your craft?
I was lucky enough to support animal rescue by volunteering for over twenty years, learning from every dog I met. I took my formal training (two-year training) in Tellington Touch Techniques and have been a practitioner for more than ten years. My masters degree in education augments my teaching of you and your dog. I continue to stay abreast of best practices.
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Remember.....your dog is not giving you a hard time......your dog is having a hard time. We can help to decrease reactivity to whatever is bothering your dog to improve your relationship together.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
