Which part of the country do you serve pets?

Salem, MA 01970

What year did you begin serving pets?

I have been a mental health counselor for over 30 years and have been providing pet loss counseling for over 15 years.

How did you hone your craft?

After experiencing my own loss of a beloved pet, I saw how limited the support is for pet loss in the counseling field so I applied my grief counseling skills and combined them with my own experiences. I read and researched extensively on my own, because I was not aware of any formal training available at the time and I began offering counseling for pet loss as an area of specialization along with counseling for other animal-related issues, including dealing with a sick or aging pet, and counseling for people who work in the field such as animal care-givers and veterinarians who suffer from compassion fatigue, their own losses and losses of the animals under their care.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

N/A

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!

I have tremendous love for all animals. I respect and appreciate the bond we form with them. And I truly understand how devastating the loss of an animal can be.
