New Perspectives Life Coaching - Missoula, MT
Pet losses are often overlooked in our culture and, as such, the associated grief often goes unacknowledged and unsupported.
I am a certified life coach with a specialty in grief and end-of-life. Having grown up on a small farm and had many pets throughout my life, I understand that animals have a way of reaching into our hearts in a way that is deep and profound. When we experience the death or separation from a beloved pet, or even an animal that was never intended to have such an important place in our emotional lives, the grief can feel as intense as, and sometimes even more intense than, the death or separation from a person whom we have loved.
As a coach, I approach the grief work I do from the perspective that you are whole and complete and have within you the resourcefulness and wisdom to face whatever is before you. I believe that grief is a normal human experience which is easier to bear when we have people in our lives who can hold the space for us to feel our feelings without judgment, without trying to fix, and with acceptance for our own ways of grieving and our own individual time lines.
Should you feel drawn to work with me, I will offer you unconditional acceptance, a compassionate ear, gentle reflections of your own experience and wisdom and, if you request, tools you can use to support yourself while you move through the grieving process.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Don't let anyone tell you that your grief is unsubstantiated because you are grieving the death or loss of a pet. Pet losses affect us deeply and it is both healthy and natural to give ourselves time and space to grieve.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
I will hold your pet, whether it is a dog, cat, horse, bird, or lizard with the same loving respect that you do.
