Perfectly Mannered Mutts Dog Training - San Luis Obispo, CA
To start, I'd like to say that I do this for the dogs. I want them to be happy and I want them to enjoy life, that's what being a dog is all about. To do that I am going to teach you all about your dog's behavior and what their actions really mean. You will end up enjoying your time with your dog rather than being frustrated and you will be able to work with your dog comfortably because you will have learned why they are doing what they are doing, thereby being able to trust and work with your dog on your own.
I train using positive methods as well as bonding methods to help dogs relax and help them to focus on and trust people.
I specialize in aggression and anxiety due to my extensive work with the rescue organization that I own and operate.
My goal is to make training enjoyable and to give you methods that aren't going to take up a lot of time. Most of the methods I'll be giving you will be more like daily habit changes rather than set training times in your daily life. Any homework that requires practice time will be short with easy to follow instructions.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Relax. If you aren't comfortable, they aren't. They need to be relaxed in order to learn and accept the information you are trying to give them.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
I run a rescue where I only take in seriously abused, aggressive, anxious or emotionally damaged dogs. I train them and work through their issues before I adopt them out. I'll keep a dog for years if I have to before adopting out. I don't make money doing this, I do this because I believe that this is what being a dog trainer is for, helping dogs show people what they can truly be.
