How did you hone your craft?

I am an animal-informed Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in treating Stress- and Trauma-Related Disorders and assisting individuals in moving through their grief and loss. Animal Parents often do not receive the same grace, support and understanding after their animal's death that they would after a human's death.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

Wounds (physical and emotional) do not heal if avoided. It is critical to address grief and loss to assist with healing.

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!

I was raised with animals (throughout my upbringing - cats, dogs, a turtle, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, snakes, chickens, a rat, birds) and am a current pet parent. I currently have two senior dogs, one middle aged dog, two cats and a box turtle. I relate with how deeply humans can connect with there beloved animals and how complex the grief can be when their is an animal-related death or loss.
