USA. I am from Pennsylvania but have done pet portraits for clients all over the US.

What year did you begin serving pets?

1980

How did you hone your craft?

I have always enjoyed drawing and art. After having children I started painting and received encouragement from other artists. I took local art classes and made a sale the first time I had art at a craft sale. I started entering shows winning 'Best of Show' awards and more. That led to sales of art. I am not a big business but a one person business, registered in my local area of Butler County. But I won't bore you with details. If interested check my website for resume information. https://www.dianejorstad.com/artist-resume-info

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

When taking photos, use a camera with a larger pixel. The photo needs to be clear so I can see detail and fur pattern and color. I will size your photo for the size artwork you want to have painted. I send you photos and have you approve everything before I start the painting. I feel communication is the key to your satisfaction.

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!

I love my pets. They are part of the family.
