The Woodlands, Texas and surrounding area

What year did you begin serving pets?

1983

How did you hone your craft?

My first job working with animals professionally was in a vet clinic that also had boarding and grooming in 1983. Over time, I eventually became the manager, then I opened my first pet salon in 1989. I became a National Certified Master Groomer in 1992. Since then I have worked in wholesale pet supplies, owned 6 pet boutique storefronts in 2 major U.S. cities, been one of the keynote speakers for our national trade association, and now I own a pet product delivery service, so much more.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

Be patient and respect their differences. They have feelings like we do, but they see the world in a completely different way. And, that's what makes them wonderful to spend time with!

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!

I care so much about each and every pet. They are individuals and deserve to be treated as such. As a Certified Meditation Teacher I have a more patient and calm perspective when interacting with fur-kiddos.
