Pointy Nose specializes in individual attention and one-on-one walking. Pointy Nose does not do group or pack walks or walks to the dog park. Dogs are on leash at all times and special attention is paid so that strangers and other dogs do not engage with your dog. Yes, Pointy Nose does specialize in providing services for shy dogs and reactive dogs. Dogs are walked in their neighborhoods or in nearby parks and routes are varied. Walks are typically 30 minutes ($25.00/walk) but customized packages are available for potty break visits or longer walks. Pointy Nose customizes walks to the individual dog and their needs, whether they are older, young and energetic, need mental stimulation or prefer to sniff the pansies! As a dog agility competitor and former humane society volunteer and worker, Pointy Nose has extensive training experience and does work with client dogs on loose leash walking, reactivity to other dogs and basic obedience skills.
Pointy Nose also offers pet sit visits while you are on vacation for your cats, small mammals, birds and dogs that are more comfortable staying at home. Visits are done at least once daily for cats and other pets, and at least twice daily for dogs. Customized arrangements may also be made contingent upon circumstances. In addition, Pointy Nose will conduct other household needs such as take in mail, water plants, take out garbage, etc., as needed.
