Susan C. Levin, Spiritual Advisor - Metairie, LAmetairie, la
Susan Levin, a.k.a. "Dat Pet Psychic" has experienced psychic phenomena all of her life, and her gift was confirmed when she began completing courses at the Metaphysical Resource Center in Metairie, LA. In tune with nature and a plant and animal lover since toddlerhood, Susan has spent her life discovering the tiniest of miracles. She was catapulted spiritually at age twenty-six when she witnessed her beautiful mother’s last breath. Having owned her own senior caregiving service for the past twenty-five years, Susan is no stranger to the declining health of an aging person, and the individual’s eminent passing. Susan is a synesthete, and sees colors and energy fields. Besides being a psychic medium, Susan reads animals. She does dog readings at psychic fairs and events for rescue groups to raise funds, and currently serves as the spiritual consultant for the monthly grief support group offered by Heaven’s Pets, a local funeral home for pets. Susan has cared for varieties of pets in her lifetime, including hamsters, gerbils, rats, guinea pigs, hermit crabs, fish in a thirty gallon fresh water aquarium, a garden snake, an iguana, canaries, parakeets, cockatiels, a love bird, a Quaker parrot, rabbits, cats, and dogs. She loves to attract butterflies to her garden and enjoys the wonder of metamorphosis by providing protected hatching of butterflies. Susan has volunteered at the city animal shelter for over a decade, specializing in the sexing, naming, PR, and socialization of rabbits and other exotics after intake, and has given training courses to volunteers and staff on the care of exotics. Her nickname at the shelter is "The Bunny Whisperer!" Susan can bring in your deceased furry friends or tell you what your current companions are thinking.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Animals are best trained and happiest when it is done with positive, not negative reinforcement. Animals care much more about how they live than how they die. At the end, they prefer the least amount of suffering.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
Animals are a major part of my life! Not only do I love to care for them, I also advocate for their welfare. My biggest love besides socializing with them is reading them and helping people receive messages from their beloved deceased pets.
