Taylor Art and Designs
Colleen Taylor is a professional artist and mixed-media painter. She has completed hundreds of large format wall murals projects and special wall finishes for residential and commercial clients within Arizona, Denver, the Rocky Mountain regions, Kansas, Florida, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada and Mexico.
There's something about a painted pet portrait and any subject matter tells you that someone is loved enough that a considerable time and investment was made in remembering them forever in a beautiful way. A painting is different from a photograph with the texture, color palette and brushstrokes that just say “heirloom.”
Combining organic traditional paints with the latest technological advances in the fine art field makes her paintings one-of-a-kind works of art. Colleen works with several high-resolution photographs by e-mail. Providing more than one image is extremely helpful and gives her the opportunity to study the subject from many different perspectives. There is no need to be troubled with a background that is less than desirable. She has the ability to create a painting with incredible results by eliminating anything that may be distracting to the client’s wishes.
A highly skilled and tedious process begins with the basic design and composition either on digital watercolor paper or canvas. With supple blending of colors and rich textures, she achieves an original hand-painted work of art with embellishments of high quality soft pastels and colored pencils.
