Unlike Reiki for humans, Animal Reiki does not have to be hands on. Horses or dogs, for instance might come to you and position themselves into my hands but only after they feel comfortable that I am not trying to force Reiki on them. The animals know much more about energy than we do and they want to receive Reiki on their terms.

I have been Giving Reiki to humans for about 5 years now. I just recently decided to branch out to work with animals.
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
That I, as a Animal Reiki Practitioner, have learned that I have to let the animal lead the session. It is vastly different from working on a person. The animals are much more adept at working with, and recognizing energy than we are so I have to let them take the lead in their healing and just let the energy flow without trying to place it anywhere.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
I truly care about animals and their well being as well as their owners and their concern for their pets.
