Broadway Dog Training - Tarzana, CA
Don't think training a dog via Zoom is possible? We are seeing such phenomenal results that we've decided to move the majority of our training online. Benefits for you: less time spent in traffic driving to a class, detailed personal feedback one-on-one with your instructor, no extra travel fees, shorter sessions are more cost efficient and fit into your busy schedule. For those local to the Los Angeles area: the bulk of the training takes place online, with one or two live, in-person sessions as necessary.
We take an integrative approach when designing your dog's training plan. Our plans take into account your dog's behavioral wellness, including: fitness and conditioning, basic foundation/obedience skills, environmental enrichment, and problem behavior modification. We teach you the science behind how we train, how behavior works, and what maintains problem behavior and increases desired behavior. We aren't just showing up to "fix" a bothersome issue...we are teaching you how to understand what your dog is saying to you and how to create a happy, healthy pet!
Does this sound exciting to you? Can't wait to learn more? Every Wednesday at 6:00pm we hold a free 15-minute session introducing our services to pet parents. Register in advance for this meeting:
The majority of our practice is working with pets with behavior issues:
Leash reactivity (growling and barking while on walks)
Fearful and shy dogs
Poor impulse control
We can also help with foundation skills and pet manners:
Sit, stay, down
Recall (coming when called)
Relaxing on a mat
Preparation for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test
We are AKC Temperament Evaluators, Canine Good Citizen Evaluators, Fit Dog Level One Instructors, and AKC Trick Dog Evaluators. The AKC is now permitting ALL trick dog titles to be evaluated online via video. We charge a $15 evaluation fee. Check out the fun our trick dog clients are having!
